Making The All Meat No Wheat Tasty-Licious Paleo Burger
If you are a fan of burgers you will love this! The Portobello Mushroom tastes amazing and acts as a bun for the dish. You can double up the mushroom so you can pick it up off the plate and eat it with your hands or use one mushroom on the bottom for an open face burger.
Ingredients:
4 Portobello Mushrooms
1lb Ground Beef
1lb Ground Lamb
1 Yellow Onion
Fresh Flat Leaf Italian Parsley
Fresh Basil
1 Egg
6 Slices Bacon
Use any combination of your favorite fresh herbs Fresh Mint would be really good with this recipe too!
Seasonings:
Sea Salt
Black Pepper
2 tsp Oregano
2 tsp Cumin
2 tsp Smoked Paprika
2 tsp Dried Roasted Garlic
1Tbsp Stone Ground Mustard
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup Grade 2
Burger Toppings:
Homemade Mayo
Avocado
Cherry Tomatoes
Candied Maple Bacon
Mixed Greens
Candied Maple Bacon Process:
1.In a larger non stick frying pan cook bacon on medium heat
2. Rendered bacon and flipped a couple times
3. Drizzle Maple Syrup over bacon and continue to cook on medium
4. Remove from heat and set aside
5. Don’t not eat all the bacon before your ready to plate the burger
Process:
1. Place all the meat into a large mixing bowl
2. Finely dice onion and add to meat
3. Chop fresh herbs and add to meat
4. Add Seasonings including Mustard and Maple Syrup
5. Hand Mix the Meat mixture until it is fully combined
6. Make into 4-5 ounce patties
7. Remove stems from Mushrooms
8. Drizzle olive oil and season with Sea Salt and Black Pepper
9. Grill Burgers and Portobello mushrooms
10. Set Burgers aside to relax for 5 minutes
11. Place Cooked Mushroom on a plate and allow to rest water will build up in the mushroom. Drain the moisture before plating the burger
12. Plate Burger and eat!
