Making The Paleo Crackers
This recipe is the Pizza Crust recipe with some added ingredients. These crackers are great as a snack with some sliced meat or in the morning with some bacon and a poached eggs… Mmm DeeLish!
Ingredients:
Yeast Mixture:
1/2 Cup Warm Water
1 tsp Honey
1 Tbsp Active Dry Yeast
Wet Mixture:
2 Eggs
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
Dry Mixture:
1 Cup Almond Flour
1 Cup Chestnut Flour
1/2 Cup Ground Sesame Seeds
1/2 Cup Milled Golden Flax Seeds (Grind up finely)
1/4 Cup Coconut Flour
1 tsp Sea Salt
Additional Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Sesame Seeds
1/2 Cup Sprouted Chia Seed Powder
Dried Oregano
Olive Oil
Sea Salt
Process:
1. Mix the Yeast Mixture and allow to sit for 20 minutes
2. Combine Ingredients under Wet Mixture and set aside
3. Combine all the Dry Ingredients into a large mixing bowl
4. Whisk together the Yeast Mixture and the Wet Ingredients and add it to the Dry Mixture
5. With a large spoon combine the dry and wet ingredients until you have a dough
6. Add more Chestnut Flour until you can handle the dough without it sticking to your fingers.
7. Allow the dough to rest for an hour.
8. Preheat the oven to 350F
9. Add Sesame Seeds, Chia Powder, and Dried Oregano
10. Roll out dough into a thin layer and spread onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
11. Poke holes evenly throughout the dough with a fork
12. Bake in the oven at 350F for 30 minutes until golden brown
13. Remove from oven and Cut Crackers into desired shape while still leaving them on the baking pan
14. Drizzle with Olive Oil and Sprinkle with Sea Salt
15. Turn Oven off and place pan back into oven for an additional 5 minutes
16. Crackers are ready to serve
