Recipe #68 | Grass Fed Beef Liver With Bacon, Onions, Mushrooms And Mint

Making The Beef Liver

Here is a delicious recipe that will have anyone fall in love with Liver! The Bacon and Onions are so amazing in this dish and the Mint adds a refreshing taste. Ingredients:

4-6 Pieces Grass Fed Beef Liver
1/2 Yellow Onion
1/2 Red onion
10 Mushrooms
2 Garlic Cloves
2 Slices Thick Cut Bacon
Handful of Fresh Mint Leaves
1/4 Large Lemon
Coconut Ghee or grass fed butter
Olive Oil

Seasonings:

Sea Salt
Fresh Cracked Pepper
Dried Oregano
Cumin
Fenugreek

 

Process:

1. Slice Onions, Garlic and Mushrooms
2. In large Frying Pan Saute Onions and Garlic on Medium Heat
3. After a few minutes add Chopped Bacon and Saute until Bacon looks almost done
4. Add chopped Mushrooms and all the seasonings
5. Once the Mushrooms are cooked add half of the chopped Mint and Squeeze Fresh Lemon into the pan. Continue to Saute about a minute
6. To make room in the Pan for the liver remove half of the Mushrooms and Onions and place in a bowl
7. Now add the liver to the same pan. Add a bit more coconut ghee Add more Salt and Fresh Cracked Pepper directly onto the Liver
8. Flip the Liver after about 2 minutes then re-add the cooked Onions and Mushrooms that were removed from the pan previously
9. Saute for an additional 3-4 Minutes add remained of the Fresh Mint and drizzle a bit of Olive Oil ontop
10 Serve with an Organic Mixed Green Salad
