Recipe #18 | Dark Chocolate Peppermint Patties

Making The Dark Chocolate Peppermint Patties

This is an amazing treat to have after dinner. I don’t know about you but I love Dark Chocolate and peppermint together! It is tough to find good quality Dark Chocolate Peppermint Patty that is not infused with a sugary filling. This recipe is fun to make and very simple. You can find chocolate molds at your local crafts store I picked mine up at Michaels. You will need Chocolate Molds, a small Paint Brush, and a Plastic Squeeze Bottle.

Ingredients:

72% Dark Chocolate Bar (200g)
¼ cup Coconut Oil
¼ cup Raw Coconut Butter
1 tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp Peppermint Extract

Process:

1. Chop up Chocolate Bar into small pieces and place into a double boiler on low heat
2. In small mixing bowl combine Coconut Oil, Coconut Butter, Honey and Peppermint Extract
3. Use an electric mixer and beat the filling until smooth
4. Put mixture into a plastic zip-lock bag and cut the corner to make a small piping bag
5. Ensure your chocolate molds are clean and dry
Once chocolate is melted fill a squeeze bottle with chocolate (this will make is easy to handle)
6. Paint molds with a layer of chocolate then place in the freezer until chocolate is set about 20 minutes
7. Squeeze peppermint filling into each mold then cover with more chocolate
8. Place Chocolate into the Freezer until the Chocolate is hard
9. Remove from molds and try not to eat all the chocolate at once 😉
