Recipe #61 | Maple Bacon Bison Burger

Making The Maple Bacon Bison Burger

Maple Candied Bacon served on top of this Grilled Bison Burger is a flavorful combination the will leave you drooling! The Bison and Bacon are amazingly delicious together and the Maple adds a sweetness that balances the savory flavors of this dish. Serve this Burger with Avocado, Ripe Steak Tomato, and some Grilled Asparagus.


1 lb Ground Bison
1/2 Yellow Onion
Handful Fresh Italian Parsley
1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1 tsp Fenugreek
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1/2 tsp Dried Sage
Fresh Cracked Black pepper
Sea Salt



1. Preheat oven to 400F for the Bacon and Preheat the Grill to 400F for the Burger
2. Follow the Perfectly Cooked Bacon Recipe Half Way through the Cooking process drizzle Maple Syrup over the Bacon and place back into the oven till cooked
3. Dice Yellow Onion
4. In mixing bowl add Ground Bison, Onion, Chopped Parsley, Apple Cider Vinegar, Maple Syrup and all the seasonings
5. Hand mix the meat mixture and form into equal sized patties
6. Drizzle some Olive Oil over Patties
7. Grill the Burgers. Note: Bison is very lean and is best done Medium Rare
8. Allow Burgers to rest then plate and serve
