Recipe #100 | Roasted Turkey Breast

Making the Roasted Turkey Breast

This recipe is so simple and perfect to make for a dinner party or for a healthy meat snack during the work week.

Ingredients:

1 Large Turkey Breast 3lbs
1 Lemon
2 Medium Onions
2 Stalks of Celery
Coconut Butter Ghee
Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Raw Apple Cider Vinegar

Seasonings:

Garlic Powder
Cumin
Paprika
Dried Oregano
Dried Sage
Sea Salt
Black Pepper

Process:

1. Soak Turkey Breast for 30 minutes in cold water
2. Preheat oven to 500F
3. Chop Onions, Celery and slice lemon
4. Grease a large roasting pot or pan with coconut ghee
5. Put onions, celery and lemon slices into the bottom of the pan. Drizzle 1 Tbsp of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar over the vegetables
6. Use some paper towels to pat dry the turkey breast. you want it to be dry so the turkey breast does not steam
7. Rub Coconut Ghee all over the turkey breast
8. Season both sides of the turkey breast
9. lay the turkey breast on top of vegetables and lemon with the skin side up
10. Place the turkey into the oven at 500F for 15 minutes
11. Turn the heat down to 325F and cook for 1 hour
12. At 45 minutes check the meat with a meat thermometer in the thickest part of the meat. The meat is ready when it is at 160F
13. Once it is ready allow to rest for at least 10 minutes then serve
